2009 - Sensor Group focused on the National

The Sensor Group along with collaborator Ken Hirasawa in the faculty of Medicine were recently interviewed by reporters from the CBC's National for their work on detecting the influenza virus using cantilever sensors.

 

 

2009 - Graduate Convocation

Congratulations to Mike Coates, who was awarded the title Fellow of the School of Graduate Studies for his work as an M.Sc. student with Dr. Beaulieu.

 

2008 - Grant Awards

Congratulations to Dr. Luc Beaulieu who has won the 2008 Petro-Canada Young Innovator Award for his work using cantilever sensors. Also, Dr. Beaulieu was successful in the NSERC Discovery Grants competition.

 

 

2008 - NSERC USRA Awards

Jim Lacey has been rewarded with a NSERC Undergraduate Student Research Award (USRA) to continue work with Dr. Beaulieu this summer. Congratulations, Jim!

 

 

2007 - Undergraduate Convocation

Josh Rideout (right) was awarded the Governor General's Silver Medal for attaining the highest academic standing upon graduation from a bachelor degree program. Josh was also awarded an NSERC scholarship to persue graduate studies.

 

 

2007 - ACENet Fellowships

Mike Coates was awarded an ACENet Fellowship to persue graduate studies with Dr. Beaulieu at Memorial.

2006 - AUPAC

Steve Callahan shown here with NSERC's Atlantic regional representative Catherine Vardy won first prize for the best student talk at the 2006-AUPAC held at Memorial University on Feb 3-5th, 2006. Steve is presently an undergraduate student working in Dr. Beaulieu's sensor group. Congratulations Steve!!!
