Rooftop Weather Station is currently experiencing technical difficulties
NEW UPDATE:
A battery replacement did not restore the functionality of the rooftop weather
station, so a replacement station was purchased. This has arrived and
is now in the process of being set up. Cross your fingers.
Additionally, if you value this webpage,
please send email to csteven@mun.ca to let us know,
and we'll try our best to make sure it doesn't disappear.
PROGRESS!
The Wi-Fi-only console of the new station has been connected to the internet, after
some technical difficulties stemming from MUN's Wi-Fi connections (understandably)
requiring more access complexity than the little console was up to.
The "free once the equipment was purchased and installed" data logging capacity we
once had now costs real money each month, but it shouldn't be hard to "harvest"
that data on-the-fly from the Basic-level account (free) station "Bulletin" at:
MUN Physical Oceanography rooftop data at Weatherlink.com
(Please note that at the current time (10apr25) the station is in the back of my
campus office, not up on the roof, sometimes with the window opened: what my spider
plants experience. Rooftop installation is imminent)
