Currents flowing through a circuit
Current 1 (I1) flows in the left
hand branch. When it reaches the junction it splits into Current 2 (I2) which flows in the middle
branch and
Current 3 (I3) which flows in the right hand branch.
Therefore, using Kirchoff's Junction Rule we can write the
following equation:
I1 = I2 + I3
