Image formed by a Convex lens

(1) The yellow ray leaves the top of the object and travels parallel to the optic axis. When it enters the lens it is refracted through the focal point on the other side.

(2) The red ray leaves the top of the object and travels through the center of the lens. Rays which travel through the center of a thin lens are not refracted, thus the red ray continues along a straight line.

(3) The point where the two rays meet is the point where the real image is formed.
