Mercury,Venus,
Earth, and Mars
Orbiting the Sun
The closer the planet is to the Sun, the faster it's orbital speed. So the
nearest planet to the Sun (Mercury) goes around the Sun many times
(approximately 8) for every one time that the farthest planet (Mars) goes
around. Mercury goes around the Sun approximately 1100 times for every
time that the most distant planet, Pluto (not shown) goes around once.
